I think we should try to stray away from Brave Little Toaster like characters which are very humanized. Personally, I think that it would be best to find a nice mix between the alive inantimate objects in Toy Story or The Brave Little Toaster and machinery malfunctioning or being possessed. A search on IMDb displayed movies like Herbie The Love Bug (not the most recent one) and some really cheesy old horror movies like Christine, and The Car where a vehicle came alive. Those movies usually rely on menacing headlights and levers and pedals moving on their own to get the image across that it has a mind of it's own. Of course we have a lot more flexibility since we are making this in 3D in a non-photorealistic style. I think the best style would be to find something between The Brave Little Toaster type movies and Herbie like movies. We can't give too much character (like I did in the character discription) to the Mow Master because viewers would want to know more about why it got that way and we shouldn't go totally in the other direction where it looks like just the gears somehow just shifted into drive. These of course are only suggestions.
In pictures like these the headlights wouldn't be moving but still look like menacing eyes. I don't think the car should stray away from looking cartoony as this will end up being a cartoon but I still think a nice mix can be made.
